Work in De-Addiction
Dr. Nidhi served as a consultant psychiatrist and the in-charge of the de-addiction center at Civil Hospital, Bathinda under the Punjab government from 2002 to 2015.
Dr. Nidhi Gupta, as the head of the de-addiction center in the district hospital, initiated a national-level methadone maintenance project for intravenous drug users in collaboration with AIIMS, Delhi and UNODC (United Nations office of Drug and Crime).
Her commitment to addressing drug addiction is evident through her active participation in various national and international training programs focused on this crucial issue.
Dr. Nidhi Gupta has received recognition for her outstanding contributions to mental health and de-addiction services.
She was honored by the Deputy Commissioner, Nehru Yuva Kendra, and several other NGOs. In addition she was acknowledged by the DGP Punjab for her dedicated services in Central Jail, Bathinda, providing psychiatric treatment to jail inmates through regular weekly visits.
Work in Women’s Mental Health
Her dedicated service included active involvement in the treatment and management of psychological issues, particularly focusing on woman’s mental health. Dr Nidhi has also played a crucial role in spreading awareness about mental health related to women.
Work in Child and Adolescents mental health.
Dr. Nidhi has extensive experience working with adolescents and small children, addressing a wide range of psychological issues. Her expertise covers areas such as
